Cord 812 SC Phaeton

Cord 812 SC Phaeton

It was a great pleasure to undertake the challenge of capturing the bold and daring shapes of this Cord in Geneva Blue in a painting. The impressive and futuristic design of this 1937 car – one of the few to have been part of an exhibition at the MOMA in New York in 1951 – is perfect to reproduce in a painting.

The chrome “louvers” under the hood, the retractable headlights (crank-operated!), the bumpers, all wrapped by powerful fenders… An incomparable design of the art deco era.

Thanks to all this, the result has been so decorative.
