Aston Martin DB5
In this painting of the Aston Martin DB5, I wanted the chrome to be the center of attention and allow to quickly recognize the superb design of this magnesium alloy body.
In making this drawing, the challenge was to make the bumper, the headlight, the grille, the chrome spokes and the knock-off or spinner crowning the wheel rim stand out against the black Mi-Teintes paper and – apart from a few additional strokes – give the work its shape.
A black wooden frame surrounds this detail of the Aston Martin DB5. A car of undeniable beauty, even though it is often remembered as the James Bond’s car.
